Ondiveeran memorial day conference ("Mannurumai Maanadu") was held on 20th August 2012 at Nellai. The conference was graced by the presence of various dignitaries, including Mr. Thol. Thirumavalavan (Viduthalai Ciruthaikal Katchi), Mr. Raja (Indian Communist Party), Mr. G. Ramakrishnan (Marxist Communist Party) Prof. Jawarharulla (Manidhaneya Makkal Katchi) and Mr. Kumaraswamy (All Indian Christian Council). The event marked the release of Audio CD on Dr. Ambedkar's "Abolition of Caste" and introduction of book "Savithiribhai" by author Thenmozhi.
